Carl Adams (Bucky) Pressly VIEW PROFILE

Carl Adams (Bucky) Pressly

Carl "Bucky" Pressly was born on June 13, 1948 and died on March 26, 2002.

He had diabetes and had developed several complications. A septicemic infection caused him to have a heart attack. He died while he was at work doing what he loved to do - talk. He was an inside salesman for a building supplies distributor in Duluth.  His gift of  gab while talking to customers made him a much loved salesman.  For a memorial, co-workers planted a cherry tree on the company property.  One of his closest friends at work wrote a poem about him.  She read the poem to honor him during the tree-planting ceremony.

His boss also had a perpetual award plaque made with his picture on it called the "Bucky Award" and placed it at the entrance to the business.  The name of the "Best Salesman of the Year" of the year is engraved on the plaque annually. Those were such wonderful memories to keep Bucky's memory alive.

He loved the graduates of the Class of 1966 and considered them all special people.  Many were his friends and a very happy part of his life. Bucky and his wife, Cheryl, were married 30 wonderful years.  She misses him and his crazy sense of humor every day.

NOTE:  This information was provided by Cheryl Pressly, Bucky's wife.
