Bruce Campbell Kenny – March 18, 1948 to November 15, 2025

You may have seen the below post from November 7 from Ronnie Fuller (Thank you, Ronnie), but I want to repeat his original message and a new message with the very sad update:

(From Ronnie) A message to All. I rarely post to the site but remain aware of all the classmates and others. Over the past three years, our classmate and my long time friend of almost 70 years, Bruce Kenny has been battling cancer. He beat the first one and we played golf last year. Recently the tides have changed and they discovered tumors in the brain. Radiation was the treatment but left him susceptible to other complications. We talk every week to catch up on family and friends but this week was different. We have grown old together with our families and we know each other well. He finally admitted that things were not good but knew he was not in charge and accepted that whatever time he had left was a gift. As of today, 11/7/2025 Bruce is in hospice in Mobile, Alabama. Continue to pray for Bruce, Connie his wife of 55 years, his Daughter Sheree, son Brent and their families. Blessings to you All. Ronnie Fuller.

The newest message from yesterday, November 16, and the sad news:

(From Ronnie) Bruce passed away peacefully Saturday morning, November 15, with his family by his side. His battle with cancer began almost three years ago. He fought the good fight until recently when the cancer moved to the brain. Many of his close friends were able to visit and talk with him and family during this time I told his daughter Sheree the hardest part of grief is not losing them, but losing who you were with them. His cancer was considered rare and he decided to donate his remains for cancer research. There will be a celebration of life at a later date. Keep his family in your prayers. Blessing to you all, Ronnie Fuller

At present, the family has not completed and released an obituary with any further information. As Ronnie stated, a celebration of life for Bruce will probably be in 2026. I commit to you to give you that information as soon as it is released. Trudy and I have known Bruce since second grade. We were at J.C. Harris and then Trudy was moved to West Manor after third grade and later Bruce and I were moved to Beecher Hills in sixth grade. He and I were neighbors, school mates and church mates. He was a great man with a great smile and laugh.

Should anyone wish to send his wife, Connie, and the family a card, their address is 30570 Middle Creek Circle, Daphne, AL 36527.
