Loretta Todd Roberts ('62) provided the information that Gene served in the Marine Corps in Vietnam and did come home with what later appeared to be a condition generated by Agent Orange.

Gene had to have a kidney transplant which was not successful and was very well also determined to be a result to exposure to Agent Orange.  He passed away in 2002 leaving two children.
